【自己紹介】

私の名前はタマリック・ヘイズです。アメリカのアトランタ出身です。ThinkThriceという名前でミュージックプロデューサー、DJ、MCをやっています。子供の頃から日本での生活や勉強に憧れていました。今年の春学期の間、日本の大学で交換留学生として勉強しています。人生で初めてのミュージックビデオを東京で撮影する予定で、とてもワクワクしています。私は2人の日本人の親友とビデオをつくる予定です。antwarp 2nd floorという音楽ユニットで活躍しているリューチと、素晴らしい才能のカメラマンとして活躍している大貫卓也さんです。

My name is Tamrick Hayes, I am an artist known as ThinkThrice. I am a Producer, DJ, and MC. Since I was a child It has been my dream to live and study in Japan. I am currently studying at a university until the end of the spring semester. I will be doing my first official video and I am humbled that I can have the opportunity to have Tokyo as a setting for my first video! I have two great people working with me to achieve this: Ryuchi AKA antwarp 2nd floor, a extremely talented Keyboardist from Japan, and Takuya Onuki Aka Nucci, a talented photographer in his own right.

【このプロジェクトで達成したいこと】

私が東京で自分の音楽を披露したい理由は、東京から海外に発信されているものがどれも未来的で異世界のようすら思える美学を持っているからです。私は今回2つの曲を1本のビデオにしたいと思っています。そこでは日本の都市生活に焦点を当てたいと思っています。私の目を通して見た日本をアメリカやその他の国の人たちに伝えたいです。撮影は7月中旬に都心部で行う予定です。今回の楽曲はミュージックビデオと同時に公開したいためまだお聞かせできませんが、参考に今までの楽曲のリンクを貼っておきます。

I hope to achieve by showcasing my music in Tokyo because I believe Tokyo to the outside world has always had the aesthetic of being futuristic and other-worldy. The plan is to put two songs in one video. Both highlighting the expressions of city life in Japan. 

Reasons for thinking about doing a project

【このプロジェクトをやる理由】

私はこのミュージックビデオを思い立ってから2曲つくりましたが、一番最初の曲は海外を旅した時の周りの人の思いやりに影響を受けたものでした。この感情は私自身をとてもハッピーな気持ちにしてくれました。私は、厳しい環境の中でも夢や情熱を追いかける人を激励して、自分の幸せを追求していくよう伝えたいです。

また、現実的な問題として、滞在期間が短いためアルバイト先がなかなか見つからず、十分な資金を稼ぐことができません。そこでクラウドファウンディングで資金を集めようと思いました。

Write down the background and background of the project launch.

I have created two songs that I wish to be in one video. The first song was influenced by loving the embrace that I felt when traveling abroad from my own country. A feeling that has made me feel really happy. I want to inspire people to follow their dreams and their passions no matter what the circumstances is in live, I believe that your happiness is the most important thing for yourself.

Use of funds

【資金の使いみち】

主にミュージックビデオをつくってくれるディレクターの方への謝礼と撮影に必要な機材や周辺機器に使う予定です。また、街中を走るマリオカートのシーンを撮影したいので、そのレンタル料などにも充てる予定です。さらに夏にこのミュージックビデオをお披露目する自主企画のショーの会場費にも充てたいと思っています。

Write down the usage and breakdown of the funds you collected.

The funds will be used to pay the videographer for his time and efforts. It will also provide for use of providing extra equipment if necessary. I am considering to include a scene with the Mario Kart, therefore if payment is received it could be used for that as well.

As a new age is upon us, I want to encourage anyone who watches the video to feel inspired to believe in themselves, discover their passions, and to chase their dreams. I hope to fulfill this vision and to give the world a piece of me that can inspire.
